The Sweet By and By presented by Sara Evans with Rachel Hauck

Jade should be elated. Marriage is on the horizon. Secrets are blocking her path to happiness. Her fiancĂ©, Max, has secrets of his own. Both agree to leave the past where it belongs – long and forgotten.

Jade struggles to mail out the wedding invitations because it would mean inviting her mom. June, Max’s mom is none too happy to help. She grabs the invites and mails them for her. Max and June appear to have a secret of their own. Neither will speak. After all, some things are left best alone.

As the story unfolds, more secrets are revealed. The past has its way of creeping up to the present. How do you handle a person who hurt you deeply? Can you trust someone with a past they will not share? Are some situations more forgivable than others?

The story is about learning to face the past and look it square in the eye. It’s the only way to be truly free from the bondage it holds. This story is a powerful example of forgiveness. Forgiving not only the people who hurt you but learning to accept yourself. It is a story of meeting Jesus in a powerful way. It’s only through the power of meeting Jesus that we have the strength to move on with confidence and faith.

Read the story and be prepared to look deep within.
